We represent and advise both insurers and policyholders in all aspects of private insurance law. 

Private insurance law includes:

• Property insurance (including building, household contents and comprehensive insurance)
• Personal insurance (including life, health, occupational disability and accident insurance) 
• Liability and legal expenses insurance

In the event of a dispute, policyholders will be represented by us in the enforcement of their claims against the insurer and insurance intermediaries. In doing so, we examine not only whether the insurer has to pay, but also whether the insurance contract was concluded in accordance with requirements as insurer and intermediary have extensive duties of consultation. If they are disregarded, claims for damages against the intermediary or the insurer may arise, for example, because the desired insurance cover was not provided.

Our consulting services for both insurers and insurance brokers include ensuring that insurance terms and conditions comply with the law, effective forms and internet presences that are safe for dunning. In addition, we advise and represent insurance companies in the defence against unjustified claims by policyholders and third parties in liability cases and in the enforcement of recourse claims in insurance law.
